Guest guest
You HAVE to be at your 10% goal for them to schedule surgery. Guest guest
Danny, I think (not sure) that as long as you are at the goal weight the day of surgery that is all that matters. I know the KP Richmond weighs you the morning of surgery. I am not sure if KPSF or KP Fremont weighs you the morning of surgery. Best wishes to you! Guest guest
DannyIn Richmond if you gain back past what you were suppose to lose as your 10% they will put off the surgery, even at the day of surgery. Not sure how it works anywhere else. Best of luck to you. Take care. Donnadaniela2estr wrote: Good Morning, I have a question regarding Dr. Li, I hit my goal weight 275. I've lost eight more pounds but since then I've gained some back. My question is once you met with the Dr. and your reconds show that you've lost and gained but your still at you goal weight will the Dr. postpone the surgery until you lost the weight you gain? I have my Appt. this morning at SSF Kaiser. I'm kind of stressing on this, Has anyone gone thought this? Plase help!!!!!;( Thank you. Danny Donna JordonDSJordon@... Guest guest
I weighed one pound over goal weight the day of surgery, having gained back about the same eight pounds from my pre-op low. No one mentioned my weight to me and they did the surgery (KSSF, Umbach). Randy > > > Good Morning, > > > > I have a question regarding Dr. Li, I hit my goal > > weight 275. Guest guest
--- > > Danny If you are still at the goal weight that you were set then you are okay. That is why you are asked to lose a bit more than the 'goal' so you can have some cushion room to regain. I do hope that the appt went well today. If not you are right there so don't worry. I drank lots of prune juice! I was a few lbs under goal. Good luck. Bobbie Jo >
Guest guest
Dr. Umbach (Who is no longer with K-SSF, BTW) is my hero! He was able to do me lap, after he told me (at 424) that I'd have to have an open procedure. (Losing 65 instead of the 40 he asked for pre-op didn't hurt - LOL!) Richmond has sent people home on the day of their surgeries, if they are above their goal weight. I don't know if this is their official policy or if it is a particular surgeon, but it seems particularly unenlightened and needlessly cruel.
