Guest guest
Thanks Donna! It worked! I weighed in at 436! That's 18 pounds lighter than on 6-14. I got hi-5's all around at Richmond today. made me some copies of their food log form. I have just 37 pounds to go before I get a date. If I can manage 18-20 pounds a month for the next 2 months, I'll be screaming from the rooftops! With as much weight as I've lost to date, this last 37 pounds is nothing (in the grand scheme), so I can actually see the light at the end of the tunnel. I'm probably going to need some help to keep my nose to the grindstone folks, so please help keep me on track! I feel like I've been running around a track for ages now and I'm finally coming around the last bend headed for the straight-away. I can see the finish line... Just 37 pounds... Ron P.S. As I was leaving KP Richmond today, I noticed the strangest thing along Barrett Avenue. There were many trees along the road that were in bloom and they looked like giant cauliflower trees or something. Next time any of you go there, take a look and if anyone knows what kind of trees they are, please let me know. I guess I never really noticed them until now because they're in bloom. odd... Guest guest
YAHOO!!!! That's just amazing, Ron. OK, here's the deal: YOU ARE GONNA DO THIS IF I HAVE TO COME AROUND AND PROD YOU WITH A STICK EVERY TIME YOU SIT DOWN FOR A MINUTE!!! You are doing such a great job, don't fiddle faddle, don't waffle (like my food allusions?), and don't dawdle. Just keep up the momentum, and get those pesky lbs. off! You are just a wonderful inspiration, Ron, and we are SO in your corner. If you have a weak moment, you tell us. don't hide. Don't be ashamed. reach out for help, and keep motivated. The thing that helped me was obesityhelp.com. I loved looking at the before/after pictures and reading the stories...dreaming about what my life was going to be. And you know what? My life is exactly as good as I dreamed it would be! We love you, and congratulations!! You've worked so hard, and I just know you are going to do this! Guest guest
So far, so good. I finally found a place to do some swimming and yesterday was my first day of that. The pool isn't heated, so getting in on a warm day takes some getting used to, but once in, it's great. I went to the deep end and just treaded water in a very large and animated way. Legs and arms going like there's no tomorrow. That lasted for about 40-45 minutes or so. (Certainly long enough to get a nice lobster coloring on my neck, back, shoulders and chest. Feels so "delightful" too.) After that, I came home, had a late lunch, and walked on to work. Today, I am in pain. However, I am going back for more tomorrow... armed with bullfrog sunscreen and some resistance foam workout equipment. I'm gonna get this flab off me if the last thing I do. Happy losing folks. I'll keep you all posted. Ron Re:> Re: Cathy's> > Surgery...> > > > > > Ron> > I'm sending good thoughts that you'll do fine> tomorrow. Take > care. Guest guest
Water exercise ROCKS! I truly think that's the best thing I've done all year; I started exercising in January even before Orientation, and I've kept it up pretty consistently ever since. Keep it up, Ron - you can do it!
