Hi :

I am 7 1/2 months out and I remember

that they told me to walk, walk, walk....Best for getting rid of gas from

surgery...Someone at the 6 month group meeting recommended GAS-X strips,

but I would not do them so soon after surgery...It will pass, but I do

remember it was very uncomfortable....Drinking, measuring food, taking

all supplements and walking were the most important things to accomplish

the first few weeks....You will do great!

decaf).

this is prob NOT gas. It sounds like your lungs and the anesthesia residuals. like i said in my prev post/answer you prob need to be doing that breathing thing ... it has the balls in it that you push up... Chances are, it probably might not be gas but if the

mint tea is consumed, if it is gas, it will rid that

problem out. I think because of what is happening, I

would call the surgeon that did the surgery and just

let them know what is going on and see what they think

it might be. I would not want to play a guessing

game.

leeI had gas so bad for about two months, it was in my shoulders, back , under my ribs, it was so bad I couldn't stand it. All that seemed to help to some degree is walking, it took a long time for me to release gas (burp or fart), once I was able to release the gas then it started getting better. Keep moving and only time helped me, sorry I know it does get painful at times. Take care. Donna J lee wrote: Hello friends, I had surgery Monday and doing well but can't seem to get this feeling

Hi , First off welcome to the other side!!! I had something similar, an air pocket stuck right under my left rib cage. The only thing that helped was, walking (any kind of movement) and sitting/laying a certain way, which for me was on my right side. It did take me some time to figure it out. But just know that the pain will faid away. everyday it would get better and by the end of week 2 the pain was gone. Good Luck! I had gas in the shoulders, under the ribs, it would move, but it took me about 6 weeks before it was all gone and no pain. No matter how long it takes it does get better and goes away. Walking made me it move and feel better when the pain was bad. Take care. Donna JMaridiana Saucedo wrote: Hi , First off welcome to the other side!!!
