Bobbie, you haven't given your height, so I don't know

if you are pretty close to goal or not. Also, are you

working out a lot? When you add muscle, it can make

you very comfortable.

Also, I don't know how long ago you had your surgery.

I am now able to drink a lot of water at one time (1

year and 1 month out). But, in the beginning, it was

tough. I think things perked up with the water intake

about 6 months out or so.

The thing I did, was that the first thing when I woke

up in the morning...I drank a big glass of water. 16

oz. I drank it in about 5 to 10 minutes. And then I

showered and got ready for work, and while i was

getting ready, I had another one available to drink

(this time, I used a water bottle). I would eat

breakfast about 15 minutes after I quit drinking. I'd

do my final stuff, and jump in the car...and about

half-way to work, I'd start drinking some more.

Keeping a water bottle handy at work (which I would

refill at the cooler), and just drinking every few

minutes worked the best. but getting that 16 oz. in

right when I woke up would give me a jump start on my

day.

As for getting very hungry...this is against

Richmond's policy, but if you are hungry, eat

something. (Again, I don't know how far along you

are, so this is assuming you're five or more months

out?) Add a protein bar (EAS Light is 190 calories,

low fat, and relatively low carb. If you don't

dump...it's a pretty good and satisfying way to get

your protein in.) Or, get some deli meat, and just

eat a couple of slices, or one, wrapped around a bit

of tomato.

For me, I was anemic in the beginning, and it was

important that I get my protein in. Also, I'm super

muscular by nature, and so...I really needed a few

more calories. I'm also not short, so that helped.

The thing is...just don't waste your fod intake on

empty calories, or on liquid calories. Eat things

that matter...that add good nutrition to your

body...that add crunch, and are satisfying, so that

you really feel you are eating something.

I found that when I sat down and ate tuna or salmon or

chicken...with a bit of salad or ratatouille or

something...I wasn't as hungry as when I had a protein

shake or something less substantial.

Find what works for you.

it sounds like you are doing very well, though...and

do remember, that people hit plateaus. Mine was at

164...and I stayed there for a couple of

months...maybe losing a lb. or two. And then, before

I knew it...I was down 9 more lbs.

I'm happy at my current weight, so i doubt I'll be

losing more. But, don't fret...it will happen.

I am 5 feet tall and I am just over 3 months out. I had my surgery on

April 10th. So far I have lost about 66 lbs from orientation until

now. 37 since surgery. I excersice everyday. Not a work out

everyday but some type of toning or stretching or walking.

Richmond is VERY strict about the eating between meals. I will try

your suggestion of deli meat and tomatoes. I have tried protein bars

and found it to be heavy on my pouch. I just have to remember that

just because I am hungry doesn't mean I am hungry. ;o)

Thanks for the tips on water too. I am trying hard to get up in the

morning and having a glass of water right off. Old habits die hard.

Thanks for all your support.

Maybe you could try a protien drink it is healthy and it keeps you full and hydrated at the same time. Unjury has a 90 calorie one tha tis good go to there site and you can get some travel packs I love them. I put them in my coffee when I work. Hope this helps you. Keep up the excellent work. Just sip the water I was the same way you could also add crystal light or some flavoring to your water that might also help. Well take care Rosebobbiejocolbert wrote: I have

Bobbie:

I spread my water throughout the day.

When I wake up = 8 oz

As I exercise = 8 oz

Breakfast

Throughout the morning = 16 oz

Lunch

Throughout the afternoon = 16 oz

Dinner

Before bed 8 oz - 16 oz

You know, when I exercise, I have no trouble getting the water in

because my body craves it. And I know there's some controversy about

this, but my water (fluid) comes in many forms: decaf tea, decaf

coffee, crystal light, and plain water. I even drink milk (lucky me)

and I count it toward fluid intake and calories.

It's worked for me. I hope you can find a way to get the water in

because it's really important.

Bobbie Jo Hang in there, you are doing good. Just keep pushing forward and it will get easier as more weight comes off. Take care. Francisco I drink the same kind of way, spread out and variety. This really works for me too. The only that doesn't work at all for me is MILK. Take care. Sneak preview the all-new Yahoo.com. It's not radically different. Just radically better.
