with regards patients that die, in my orientation we were told it is one in 200

patients...in the Fremont department they have had one close call but

the person made it...and they have done i believe 400 patients in that

department...also the GB " Bible " will say that one in 200 can die...and

also about gaining wt back on the day of surgery--the program

coordinator told me that they have sent people home and rescheduled

the surgery if they gain wt back.....i also saw the surgeon and he was

very straight forward about everything, basically he went over all the

complications and that i can die--everything is a risk....he was great

with the info but i guess they want you to be prepared....damaris
