SF Jello and SF Popsicles count as water intake. Has very few calories, and makes you feel like your getting more in between your meals. You also get a sweet taste and you're not doing anything wrong, but your brain gets some satisfaction, count the ozs toward your water intake. This really helped me. Even at goal I don't really snack or graze, put sometimes mainly that time of the month, this gives me satisfaction. Hope this will help you. Take care. Donna J lee wrote: I

Also try drinking juice more often. Watered down of course. Just try and remember that just because your feeling hungry you really may not be...

I am on stage 4 and I still have that hungry feeling in the afternoon. I have a cup of decaf coffee to fill me up.

Good Luck!

In the first few weeks, as my tummy started to heal,

and I was still on the soft stuff, I was hungry, too.

I think some people heal more quickly, and so there

is less internal swelling...and thus more room for

food.

It's important to look at whether it is head hunger,

boredom, a desire to eat....or real hunger. The good

news is that you won't starve to death, even if it's

real hunger. You have plenty of fat stores that your

body can devour...and that's what you want.

Try drinking water everytime you are hungry. Or, like

she said...eat those popsicles, God bless them. I ate

10 a day sometimes. It is a way to get in the water

that doesn't hurt quite as much (by the way, that will

change, too...you'll be able to drink water more

easily as time goes by.)

One of the things I did for my soft meals, is I used

cream of rice (or wheat or whatever it is that we were

allowed to have...I've forgotten), and added

applesauce to it...mixing it together. I heated the

applesauce first, so it wouldn't be all cold. The

cream of rice/wheat, puffed up enough in my tummy to

keep me full. When I was tired of sweet, we added

bouillion to it, and left out the applesauce. This

worked pretty well.

You will soon be at the next stage, and that will help

a lot. Once you can eat dense proteins (like a piece

of chicken...you will find that you aren't hungry at

all.) Don't worry. I remember being scared that

maybe the operation hadn't worked for me, and that I'd

be hungry all of the time...that losing weight would

continue to be a real difficult challenge, and I'd

have to combat that feeling of hunger.

Take heart...it won't be like that. i promise.
