Guest guest
is an okay person. I think that people tend to misunderstand her stance on " phat or fat " women. The message she is trying to get across to america is that a real woman is not measured by numbers on a scale or a tag in your clothing but rather by your character and how you carry yourself. What she is trying to say is be proud of who you are because sexy does not equate to small. I think that somewhere along the way she has gotten a bit out of control because it does come across like she is glorifying being obese but she really isn't. As for her opinion about the surgery...simply stated..its just her opinion and we that have undergone the procedure know that she is incorrect with her accessment and lack of knowledge concerning weight loss sugery and its benefits. Not to make light of it but SO WHAT if someone dies post surgery (and I certainly do not mean SO WHAT) but chances are we would die from our chronic conditions if we did not do something anyway. If she is truly happy with the way she is...let her stay that way but I can bet you that she is not and because of the stance she has taken on being happy with being " phat or fat " she would never do the surgery or openly admit that she did the surgery. Oh boy sounds like another Star Reynolds situation. I hope I did not open a can of worms. I hope no offense was taken to what I said because to offend was not my intention. Take care and no matter where you are on this journey, be encouraged. Guest guest
pam the reason I cannot stand her is she does not allow anyone to have an opinion diff than her...When one of the woman tried to defend the sugergy as life saving, she would just get louder and interrupt to prove she was right. and I agree with you that she protests too much. and she has made her $$$ by encouraging obesity and acceptance.... which i would agree with if it was done sinceerely and not just thru some of her ignornance. She is not a nutritionist or has any sort of medical background but spouts off as if she does....I think this can be dangerous BPamela A Marsh wrote: is an okay person. Guest guest
That is for you and I am so glad that you were not offend by my comments. I agree with what you have said about the $$$. Well, its up to people like us to educate people so that people that really need this procedure won't turn and run in the opposite direction because of something like what and others have said. Thank you for sharing this information.
