Guest guest
Hi all. It's been quite a while since I posted on here. So much has happened since the last time, that I'm not sure where to start. I had my Orientation at Fremont in April, and have been working on my 10% ever since. As of today I am three lbs. BELOW my goal weight of 288 lbs. Dr. Dutta is to be my surgeon. When I called last week she told me I am #17 in the surgery book, and it would probably be three more months before I have surgery. Doesn't that seem rather long? Does anyone know if any of the Fremont surgeons are taking off time this summer? I also found out I have Gall Stones from the ultrasound they did on me back in June. They have been acting up a bit, and I emailed Dr. Dutta and let him know about it. Anyone know if they take stuff like that into consideration when assigning surgery dates? It would be wonderful if they bumped me up a little. I'm afraid my gall bladder might flare up too much and lead to me needing that surgery before I can have the other (GBS). already told me that they would probably take my Gall Bladder out while they are in there anyways. I've been reading some of the back posts and I am so happy too see so many people doing so well! I am very excited to be almost to the shrinking side along with you guys! :-) in San Lorenzo Start weight: 332 lbs Pre-Surgery Goal weight: 288 lbs. Current weight: 285 lbs

Guest guest
Dr. Dennen was off for about 2-1/2 weeks this month (paternity leave), but is back now. I don't know about the other doctors' schedules in Fremont. When I saw him a few days ago, Dr. Dennen said that they would be doing some extra surgery days in August and 'catching up.' Hopefully, your surgery will be scheduled sooner than the three month estimate. You've done so much better in losing your 10% than I have. I have been struggling with it for almost 6 months. I lost 18 lbs by the time of my consult in early April, and had only 12 lbs to go. I thought that I would reach that goal by the end of May. However, additional medical problems and medication changes contributed to a gain that has been so difficult to reverse. I must say that Ron's fantastic pre-op loss of 100 lbs has been very inspiring. I have increased my exercise (going to the gym 5 times a week for the last 3 weeks), more closely monitored my food intake, and finally got back down to where I was 4 months ago. This detour has been very frustrating but I hope to make better progress now. So, once again, I have to lose 12 more lbs., and then I can join you on the surgery waiting list! Congratulations and good luck to you. Rosemarie > When I called last week she told me I am #17 in the surgery > book, and it would probably be three more months before I have > surgery. Guest guest
Thanks, Rosemarie! I'm sure you'll be making it on that list in no time. Are you following the 1200 calorie diet? I am, with slight modifications. I decided to cut further back on the bread. :-) Going to the gym five times a week is fabulous! I've only gone three times so far this week. Got sidetracked by a graveyard shift on tuesday night (yuck!). I have another one to do on Friday night as well. I hate when people go on vacation. :-S It always messes up my schedule. Good luck to you! :-) rosemariegt wrote: Dr. Dennen was off for about 2-1/2 weeks this month (paternity leave),but is back now. I don't know about the other doctors' schedules inFremont.
