Guest guest
Debbie, I have two children: Jenna is 19 (no RSS), and Max is 16 (RSS). Max has been on gh since just before his 3rd birthday. We have had no negative side effects, only positive ones. Well, actually, that is not totally correct. Max is gh resistant, so he requires a larger dose than usual for his shots. Now, you are probably asking " What is gh resistance? " According to Dr. H., his body has ceased making some chemical of which I cannot recall the name.... Old age is making my brain/memory go crazy!!! All I can remember at this point in time is that a few years ago we noticed that Max just stopped growing, or his growth rate had slowed down so much that we got worried. Dr. H. casually mentioned this gh resistance thing. She said she would have to increase his gh and that it would help him grow more. Initially it did not work well. Max still grew about 1cm every three months and we were so discouraged. But now he is in puberty and growing more quickly. He is about 5'2 if I stretch him a lot. No one believes he is 16, though. He is thin, looks young and acts young, but that is changing, too. It seems like all of a sudden he is growing, his features are maturing and, this is funny to us, his voice seems to drop an octave a week! When we see Dr. H. in January, we will hopefully get a better idea of what is going on. I hope that his growth is not nearing its end. A bone age will tell us that, I guess. Any more questions? Please feel free to ask. Jodi Z And I think that the stuff was IGF 1, but I am not sure.
