Hello everybody! It's been long since I've checked in but think of

you often. Hello to all the new posters. You've found a wonderful

group of people.

I wanted to say thanks to everybody who helped us get to a Big 2

years! I can't believe it!

And you all were right--> It really does get easier! Really :)

She had a wonderful bday party with her family and granny & papa. 2

dozen yellow balloons and a mixed bag of her favorites...Dora, Elmo,

Sponge Bob, and Shrek...

She did a good job of licking the frosting off of the cupcake.

Pippin is eating mashed potatoes, salsa, whipped cream, refried

beans, mayo, mustard, ketchup, spaghetti sauce, yogurt...not enough

to count toward calories but she's swallowing! I'm going to try some

baby food with her this next week. She is just a few ounces below 20

lbs.

(I can stop worrying about a ticket for her seat being turned

around :)

I've been told that she will not qualify for early intervention next

year...She's doing so well that the PT is " looking the other way " to

keep her in this year. I'm thrilled.

She is adjusting to her new brother just fine. Lots of kisses for

him. We can't go anywhere without her yelling " Christmas lights "

or " HO HO HO " when she sees a Santa.

Her hair is still out of control. She insists on 2 piggy tails

almost everyday with 2 yellow bows. Pippin also insists that she

wear something yellow everyday. We've got lots of yellow onsies and

socks to fulfill her yellow wishes...

It is getting a bit out of control :)

We're looking for a potty chair that will fit her---does anybody have

any ideas? All in the store are 7 " too big for her to sit down on...

And the bowl is too far back for her to get her butt on it right.

We've just been playing but now she really seems ready... maybe...

That's a big maybe :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PIPPEN!!!!!!!!

Wow, it goes by so fast. I'm just not ready for them to be 2. Coby

and Carlee are head first into the terrible 2's. That too has to get

easier, right??? hehehe

Congrats on all the great eating news. Sounds like your doing a

wonderful job.

The twins are playing with the potty chair now. We have had it in

the house for about 4 months. They are quite used to it and now ask

to sit on it, but no sucess yet. We have one of those musical

potty's. Coby seems to fit on it just fine. He has to get over the

pee guard and then he's fine. He's 30 1/4 inches now, so you can

compare that with Pippin.

GREAT to hear from you and we miss you all.

The Biddle's:

le and

Shye, Brock, Coby, and Carlee

Coby's stats: 20.2 lbs, 30 1/4 in, GH, and Periactin

I can't believe she is 2 already but then again, the new brother

arrived! I still remember when was 2 and 3 -- people at her

daycare used to call her " the girl with the hair " not knowing I was

her mother.... She had this little face and this MASSIVE amount of

hair. Everytime I am at the convention and I see other RSS little

girls, I am reminded again of the " girl with the hair. " So many of

our girls look similar in that way. I promise the head eventually

gets more in proportion to the hair....

Don't remember much about potty chairs. Unfortunately, we were one

of those " sit back and wait " families. Just waited long enough that

eventually, at about age 3, she took off the pullup and bam, was

potty trained that day. If you wait long enough.... ha!

Hi jenyfer, its kim from scotland,I'm so glad pippin is doing well,i remember

using the toilet as a child and always nearly fell in as my bottom was so small

but i just seemed to balance myself so i didnt fall in the bowl,he!he! Being

small i dont now have trouble with the size of the toilet bowl but rather the

height of the toilet itself, sometimes i feel like i'm mountaineering when i go

to use some facilities. Pippin's weight is doing well also, I was 4lb 3oz when i

was born (2 weeks over due) and weighed only 10lbs at the age of 2yrs 2months

old, back then there wasn't such things as g tubes, etc and my parents had to

just make do and try to force me to eat, my mum said it took about an hour to

eat 30ml of milk and even a tiny bit more made me puke the whole 30ml up..my mum

said that when she was potty training me i had a normal size potty but she held

me so i didn't fall in,and when i used a normal toilet after the age of 3 approx

she still held me then she says when i was ready

and didnt want her to hold me i used my hands under my legs to balance me. i'm

sure some of the older rss adults have similar experiences to relate. Just

remember that the eating and appetite DOES improve and that even though tiny,

rss kids thrive and survive on relatively little compared to 'normal' kids . You

parents today are fortunate to have support from other parents of rss kids and

compare info and experiences. Older rss adults haven't had that and my mum is

often asking how the rss kids that i met in chicago are doing and both my

parents are interested in how parents of young rss kids cope and use the medical

advances they have available to them. Big hugs to pippin, tully and ryker,
