help for 6 months-old BERRA from Turkey

Hi,

I’m a mother of Berra. My daugther was born on May. 15th, 2004.

During the 5th of my pregnancy, doctors told that there is an asymetric

development and there might be a genetic problem with my baby.

Berra was born one month early. She was 36 cm (14.17 inches) and 1330 gr.(2.93

pound)

Now, she’s 6 month old, 55,5 cm (21.85 inches) and 3150 gr.(6.94 pound)

Addinationally, she had a reflu when she’s 40 days old.

When I force her to eat, most time she throws up

At her birth, there was 2.5 mm diameter hole in her heart. We used enapril,

digoksin and lasix. Now the hole is getting close.

She took 0.880 gr during her first month. And then, she took only 200-250 gr

(0.440-0.550 pound) per month. Whatever we did, we couldn”t make her take more

than that.

She has always lack of appetite. We noticed that she has anemia at 40 days old.

By using some medicine (ferrum fort, ferro sanol) her appetite is getting better

but not so good. Nowadays she is eats not so good. She always cry when I feed.

She often gives her food back from inside her mouth. She eats 350-400 cc per

day. I feed her 7 times per day.

The doctors say that her weigth is low, but they don’t advise anything. A

doctor which we currently visited wants us to feed her with a food named

“Fantomalt”. This food is rieched by corbonhiareds. I use this food 6 times per

day for 10 days and she takes 200 gr (0.440 pound) after 10 days.

Fantomalt works but I have no idea it can from now. I’ve just started using

Zaditen for her appetite, I don’t see anything good yet.

She always eats hard. She loves pecifier so much. I try to fees her by a

pecifier. She sucks feeding bottle when she is in sleep. When she is awake,

using feeding bottle is not possible.

Since we lives in Turkey, we have a`lot of problems. The number of the baby who

has this sendrom is very limited. We are in Ýstanbul, I just meet only 2 family.

I know that there are 3-4 family more. The doctors don’t have good experience

about this subject and can not help so much. You are only our hopes. We can buy

medicine if it is necessary.

What are the medicine and methods that make her eats good?

Some statistical data about your babies, like weigth and heigth

Are ther get sick quickly?

What are the food that they likes?

What foods make them take weigth?

What about growth hormon treament? Does it grow them? Is there any negative

subject?
