Well, after some fast research I got my answer.

ELA-Max has been renamed -- LMX, by Ferndale Laboratories.

So the product I described in my prior email IS the renamed ELA-

Max. Don't ask me why they renamed it. Maybe the name was too

close to EMLA or something????

So, your local pharmacy can order over the counter LMX by Ferndale

Laboratories. This product is 4% lidocaine and is non-vasicular

constricting, which means it does NOT make the veins get smaller

when applied (one of the problems with EMLA).

I carry a tube in my glove compartment and then one whenever we

travel because one never knows when we'll end up in an ER with

needing an IV.

Thanks Jen-

My pharmacist is checking on it. Just got back from Isaac's

bloodwork and the lady who did it the first time when he was 3

months old was there and she did it again without multiple

sticks..she got the vein on the first try!! Needless to say I asked

her for her schedule and will call from now on to make sure she is

there and request her by name!! I can't tell you how relieved I am.
