obvious and I'll say duh, but as of right now I'm still

clueless..hehehe

I am trying to up Coby's cals through his food. I have read all of

the posts and the links, but if anyone has anything new to add, I

would love to hear from you.

Thanks, le, mom to:

le,

I get my coconut oil from Omega Nutrition:

http://www.omeganutrition.com/home.php

This is great way to get high quality oils into your children's

diets (look under gourmet oils). This company has a broad array of

top notch oils. The coconut oil is organic and non-hydrogenated.

Is your child still being formula fed or is he older? I have a

couple great baby formulas that I will post once I can find them.

le,

MCT stands for medium chain triglyceride. MCT oil is very expensive and can be

ordered

from most pharmacies (most insurances do not cover this). A very cheap

alternative to

this is corn oil. Corn oil has the same makeup as MCT oil (medium chain

triglyceride) &

you can get a large bottle for $2! I used this with when he was a baby.

I forget

what the dosing is though. I remember adding 3-5cc to his feeding occasionally

(not

every feeding), but I don't remember how much volume he was taking at the time.

You

have to be careful not to add too much, because it could cause digestion

problems.

Thanks for all the information.

Coby is not on formula anymore. He drinks peptimen jr instead of

milk.

I know I used to add oil among other things to his formula to make it

high calorie, but I just used corn oil.

Thanks again,

le
