Guest guest
is on 1 ml 3X/day - I know when she started it took a few days to see a change - but when it happened - WOW - what a difference. They say to give it 1/2 hour to 1 hour before meals - are you timing it right? I find that eats best with lunch and supper - as this seems to be the best timed - in the a.m. she has a bottle first thing and then not ready to eat again until mid morning. I wish you luck - the drug has worked wonders for . did, however, develop reflux - which did not become evident until we started the periactin - she was throwing up after every meal. Good Luck- Jane, mom to - now 15 months - 15# 15oz and 27 " long!
Guest guest
Thanks Jane. I just spoke with the doc and was told now to do 3 doses 1/2 tsp a day. One before breakfast, one before lunch and one before dinner, before it was one before lunch and one in the afternoon, which was not timed correctly, I am assuming. There has not been an appetite increase yet with the other dose, but I will start 3 a day today and I will do 1/2 hour before the meals (that's the best time, right?). It's great is doing so well on it! She has grown a lot! Guest guest
- Good luck - yes, 1/2 hour is the recommended timing of the Periactin. It does seem, though, that for it takes more like 1 1/2 hours to set in??? I know that Autumn is a little younger than , but I taught the sign for " eat " - she will sign this to me when she is hungry - this has helped us with the " timing " . Just an idea we have used that is finally paying off. also uses the sign for " more " - again, another helpful tool at mealtime. I hope the changes in the timing and dosage are beneficial to her. Keep me posted. Jane, mom to - periactin, zantac
