Guest guest
Hello Celeste. In reference to seizures, Sam had quite a lot of them, and at first I was very frightened--he was rigid, his eyes rolled back and he shook. It was awful to see him. I used to take his bp at those times--when I wasn't trying to hold him in his chair, and it was terribly low--50/35 etc. For some reason he hardly ever trembles now and his bp has been quite good. The only reason that I can think for the good bp is that he never stands up anymore, can't move around on his own, even in bed.and is largely immobile--can't feed himself at all, except he does manage with a bit of sandwich or cookie if it is put in his hand and aimed at his mouth. And he doesn't feel faint much. Nothing much has changed about his medicine, except that the proamatine was increased a bit after the tremors started, , but the doctor just cut back on it, and I have noticed no change. In fact, I don't notice any big reaction one way or the other when he starts a new medicine or if I forget to give him his medicine from time to time. Who knows. These plateaus come, last for a while, then slowly disappear. Good luck, Celeste. We all do the best that we can. Lou Reynolds
