Guest guest
After 2 1/2 years on Parkinson's medications Celeste's movement disorder specialist finally told her about chewing her Sinemet and drinking it with something carbinated drinks, like Coke, and/or Gatorade. What a difference. We absolutely can't believe we didn't know this before. When swallowing the pills whole it could take 1 1/2 hours for them to work, now it take 25 minutes to 30 minutes. Lots more ON time and lots less OFF time. How did we never know this? If you haven't done it try it and see the difference. Maybe it works for the agonists as well. I don't know. But Celeste's agonist right now is a capsule...so it would be hard to chew. Give it a try.... Lots of luck, Love, Dawn Morley - Celeste O'Neill's sister
Guest guest
Hi Dawn, As far as I know it should work with any chewable medicine, but remember to read the instructions on/in the box first. Some pills are " timed release " or something like that, meaning that they are meant to be swallowed whole. But good to know it makes such a difference with Sinamet (you do know it also works with asperin, right?) Best wishes, Marcel
