Hi ,

Thanks for contacting me. We are from Paisley, how long have you

lived in New Zealand?

I'm not really too sure what standard of care we are going to receive

for Blair. I have been seing a consultant at our local hospital since

he was born.His birth weight was 3'13 " but was told that they could

find nothing wrong with him, but because he was so small they would

keep an eye on him and to bring him back at 3 months. By that time

the alarm bells were ringing in my head, he just wasn't growing. The

consultant said he was probably 'just a small guy' but I wasn't

convinced. We went back every 2 months but I felt I was banging my

head against a brick wall, no one was listening to me. Eventually he

got me an appointment with an endo who diagnosed him immediately. The

endo told us they woulg start GHT at the age of two. I feel that the

endo will do alot for us but I am not sure how it will go working

along side the consultant, as his attitude to us is awful. I was

thinking of going to GOSH to see Dr. Stanhope that I have heard you

all talking about. We will think about it properly in the New Year.
