Guest guest
Jill, I feel the need to respond to this post. In my opinion, your idea of an affidavit would do more harm than good. People from this list serve are currently free to offer their opinion of the Drs that they've dealt with, or to ask if anyone else in their area of the country, has ever dealt with a specific Dr. This give and take of information is a wonderful thing. Here in Ohio, we've had some rather " bad " experiences with the Drs that we've had to deal with. These are Drs affiliated with the " World Renown " Cleveland Clinic!! The misinformation that we've received from these Drs that " supposedly " know their subject is astounding!! We've heard everything from " RSS only affects the child's ability to grow, and nothing more " to misinformation about tumors and/or life-threatening conditions associated with this syndrome! The " give and take " information system of the list serve hasn't helped us, personally, with finding Drs that " know " the subject, but I've seen it work for a lot of people during my time as a member. I worry that a lot of Drs (good Drs) would be unwilling to fill out, or sign, the kind of affidavit you are suggesting, for either personal or legal reasons, and that would make it impossible to share their names here. I think that would be a grave disservice to the members of this list serve. Pat (g-ma to , RSS, 35 months, 23.9#, 32.2 " , G-Tube)
