Guest guest
Pam, Wishing you all the luck in the world. I say, take it one step at a time, and you will make all the right decisions. Biting off everything at once is too stressful which could lead you to make decisions that are less than optimal for you. Oh, as far as the girlfriend issue, make sure you have two bathrooms! Grins. Guest guest
Pam, I know where you are at right now. Back in June when I recieved my surgery date everyone kept telling me to postpone my surgery date to a much later time. At that time the executive board where I was under investigation by the attorney general and the Attorney general had put in a new executive board in place. Everyone kept telling me that I would lose my job if I took the time off during such a tumultous time. My executive director gave me hell for wanting to take the time off. I thought it about it long and hard and I thought to myself: If you lose your job that is not the worse that can happen now if you stay the way you are you will get bigger, unhealthier and you may wind up with insurance that doesnt cover the surgery. That is when I gave everyone the mental finger and I had my surgery. Of course what I just said is easier said than done but my point is that everything always works out for the best. I have surgery and I feel better and in my book that counts more than alot of things. This is just my opinion though. Hang in there kid things will work out for you *hugs* Lisbeth She tells me I shouldn't look into getting the surgery while anticipating a new job. That has kind of depressed me, because part of me thinks she is right. The other part of me says this isn't elective surgery, it's something I need for my health, and should be a first priority. But the new job is my future too. I guess if we had no conflict in our lives we wouldn't appreciate the good times. I will just put my faith in God that what is best will be. If I would get the new job, and my insurance won't cover the surgery, the new insurance (I have no idea what it might be- but it should be good, as it is a state job) might cover with no problemo! I believe that things will work out for the best. Wish me luck tomorrow, Pam in PA ----------------------------------------------------------------------
Guest guest
Hang in there!! This process is looong -- with an Oct 15 consult and difficult insurance, chances are excellent that your surgery date wouldn't be for awhile -- time enough for you to interview and *get* that new job, which will surely have better ins than BC/BS. Heck, isn't anything (except maybe Kaiser) better than BC/BS?? Good luck! alyssa Job interview and preop consult > Then on the 23rd I have a job interview.
