Guest guest
My preop consult is tomorrow at 2:00. The office called and changed it from 4:00 which is great for me since the trip is 2 1/2 hours. I will just have to make up more time from work. My friend and I are going to try to get the surgery scheduled together, so we can be our own support team. Then she will stay with me and we can take care of each other. She has Medicare, which doesn't need preapproval, and has a lot of tests done recently so won't need a lot of pre op work up. On the other hand I have BC/BS, and who know what might happen there. Hopefully we won't have a long wait to find out. Then on the 23rd I have a job interview. Another friend has an interview at the same place-4 openings-actually newly created jobs. She tells me I shouldn't look into getting the surgery while anticipating a new job. That has kind of depressed me, because part of me thinks she is right. The other part of me says this isn't elective surgery, it's something I need for my health, and should be a first priority. But the new job is my future too. I guess if we had no conflict in our lives we wouldn't appreciate the good times. I will just put my faith in God that what is best will be. If I would get the new job, and my insurance won't cover the surgery, the new insurance (I have no idea what it might be- but it should be good, as it is a state job) might cover with no problemo! I believe that things will work out for the best. Wish me luck tomorrow, Pam in PA
