Guest guest
For those of you who have dealt with this, was it completely apparent/obvious to you? I am having such a hard time with this! Maybe it's because I look at her all of the time.. or maybe it's because of the Torticollis.. since her head is always crooked, it's difficult to tell if things are in line. So I am *pretty sure* her ears are off, and maybe some other features.. but I'm just not positive. I can see it a lot more when I look in the mirror with her. I just wonder if other people don't look enough to really notice... I don't analyze other babies heads, so I'm sure other people don't either! I suppose the only way to really know is to get her consultation done, I think I'm just anxious/nervous about it. It's scheduled at CT next Wednesday, but I'm not 100% sure if we'll be able to make it since she's having some other (unrelated) tests done that morning. Guest guest
I never saw Maysa's asymmetry until CT pointed them out to me. From the photostudy they did, her right eye was smaller than her left one and slanted down. She also had tort, plagio and brachy. If you go to CT, they will give you their honest opinion as to whether or not they think she is a good candidate for a DOC band. I think that for some, the hardest part is accepting that something doesn't look right with their child's headshape. One you see that and find out how severe (or not) it is, it is easier to think about whether treatment with a band is the way to go.
