Guest guest
I can't speak for everybody but I used it during the intro stage and I'm convinced that it helped me heal a LOT faster (b/c intro alone wasn't enough during the last couple of flares). Stacey PS - it tastes really good when it's juiced with strawberries > > Hi all, > > Is fresh cabbage juice okay for stage 1? > > I've been juicing organic romaine the last few days and doing okay with it. Now wondering if cabbage or spinach juice would be okay to mix in with the romaine. I'm diluting with 50% filtered water. > > Feeling nauseous and hoping it's die-off. > > Tamra in Gilroy > FMS, CFS, PI-IBS-d > SCD day 31 > LDN day 206 >
Guest guest
Thanks and Ellen, I'm hanging in there! I tried romaine with spinach yesterday and that seemed to work okay for me. I think I'll use spinach for a few days before trying the cabbage juice. I'm having less pain but a little sleep disturbance now. Can that also be related to die off? I noticed my tongue is looking a little pinker in the morning. After taking antibiotics six months ago, I went to the lower stages for months, and I'm just going more advanced. I took cabbage juice throughout, though, because my stomach was so messed up. I, too, felt it was key to helping me heal whatever the stomach issue was. I mixed mine with various vegi's, including carrots and beets, for a savory blend, or with a green apple, parsely and ginger for a sweeter blend. > > The naseau can be sign of die-off and it can last a while, but it will get better as far as frequency and intensity goes. > > Hang in there!! > > Ellen > > > > > Is fresh cabbage juice okay for stage 1? > > > Feeling nauseous and hoping it's die-off. >
Guest guest
I've been drinking fresh cabbage juice for several months now and I am 13 weeks on modified SCD (no yogurt, fruit or juice except blueberries are OK). Someone posted (was it here?) that he recommended a juicer instead of what I was doing (blender and straining out the fiber) and he was right. Better tasting and more concentrated. Yesterday I added some fresh ginger into the cabbage juice. Wow. Spicy. Next time gonna add a little less ginger. It occurred that I could make " real " ginger ale using ginger juice, honey and bubbly water. Since I don't do juices this would add a little sparkle to my beverage consumption. I think the cabbage juice is good for my gut, just feels happy afterwards. > > > > Tamra, > > > > Cabbage juice is probably advanced, but the stages are flexible in the sense that if you can tolerate it, and it is something you need, then go for it. Guest guest
Tamra, All these years of digestive woes, bad days/periods disturb my sleep, so I don't see why die-off couldn't cause sleep disturbance, too. I'm having less pain but a little sleep disturbance now. Can that also be related to die off?
Guest guest
Well I couldn't wait so a few hours ago I threw a couple cabbage leaves into the juicer with the spinach and romaine. So far so good. The juice kind of wakes me up, which is good because I've been feeling run down. Guest guest
Didn't sleep well again, but had another normal BM! That's the second one since I started the SCD. I'll take that as a victory. ;-) Tamra in Gilroy SCD day 35 LDN day
