Guest guest
The Exporatorium in the Marina district is fun for children. There is an Ice skating rink in the Embarcadero. Fisherman's wharf has a merry-go-round. Anywhere you end up, you will have to pay for parking either in a garage or on the street. I recommend getting one of those plastic coated maps. It was helpful when we went. Goledngate park has a garden area and the Acedemy of Science Museum, which has a nice aquirium attached, Both are in Golden gate park. juliaforsyth wrote: Hi Everyone We are making a trip to the UK in March/April and stopping in CA on the way and on the way back. On the way we are stopping in LA and going to Disneyland - very briefly (like 1/2 a day!!) but on the way back my husband wants to do some work in San Fran so we are stopping there for 2 days. We've never been to San Francisco before. I wondered if anyone could advise places to stay (family friendly) and things to do with 2 kids (5 and 2yrs). I want to stay someplace that is close to the activities we want to do....I've had a look at various websites about San Fran but am still a little clueless. Any advice gratefully recieved!! Many Thanks
Guest guest
.... I do not know if you are a AAA member, that can give you some idea of where to stay. It really depends on what you are planning to do. If you plan to stay down town, the hotels are expensive. If you plan to stay near fisherman's wharf, so so on the prices there. If you want to brave the traffic and drive from a hotel near the airport you can....otherwise look for hotels in Marin County. Look in Bestwestern site, they have hotels etc or as I mentioned AAA.
