Pat,

Hey! Boy, it has been forever since I have been able to talk to

you! I really miss our chats. How is doing this winter?

seems to be better as far as ear infections since his tube

placement surgery in January, but he has some major congestion right

now that has caused him a terrible cough, thus the breathing

treatments resume. Keeping my fingers crossed that these will help

him stay out of the hospital. Seems like they have helped his

coughing, except at night! He has been screaming at night for me

lately, and can't really figure out why. very out of the ordinary

for him. I guess it is because he isn't feeling too well. I am

hoping it isn't going to be a new habit.

will be weighed again tomorrow, but he is currently 20 lbs. 7

oz. and about 31 " tall. We had to up his tube feeds again because he

was growing taller, but not gaining weight and he got real skinny

again. So, we have him up to 800cc's a day, and getting about 7

hours off between two breaks so to gaurd against hypo-g.

How is doing with oral feeds? Now that we have increased

on the pump, his feeding by mouth is almost nill. But, he

still can't even gain much after increasing tube feeds. Two to three

ounces in a week is wonderful! doesn't have the chewing

concept down. He is doing well with babyfoods, ice cream, yogurt,

pudding, soft stuff like that. But, once you give him a bite of a

cracker or something hard, he holds it right in the front of his

mouth on his bottom teeth. We want to get him into a feeding

therapist, but they can't get him in until Sept., so we have him on

the waiting list! Ugh!
