Hemp milk is not SCD legal.

Why do you want to give hemp milk?

My son has multiple allergies- the only milk he could tolerate was hemp milk. He can't have coconuts and he has allergies to walnut and cashews so md said no tree nuts. So, what do I do????? so confused with this. thanks by the way for your reply. To: BTVC-SCD Sent: Sun, April 18, 2010 12:49:33 AMSubject: Re: hemp milk

my daughter was told no tree nuts and is now allowed all nuts but no peanuts so

that MAY change - but can you ask them to specifically test almonds?? that's

one thought - the other is my SCD son doesn't have any milk - just goat yog and

make sure he gets folate from multi-vit though but it's possible to do scd with

no milk -i do it too - good luck!

Did you get tests for all the tree nuts? I'm very allergic to cashews, walnuts,

pistachios, and hazelnuts, but do fine with almonds and pecans (although,

technically, I tested as mildly allergic to those). Since I don't react to them,

my allergist said to go ahead and keep eating them. The ER doc (when I found out

I was allergic to cashews) on the other hand, told me to never eat any kind of

nut ever again. I chose to follow my allergist's advice instead though, and so

far, so good *knocks on wood*

It's all very well for the allergist to tell one not ever to eat anything

that tested positive. However, I have had major food testing

several times in my life and every time I have been allergic to

absolutely everything. There's never been a food I am supposedly not

allergic to. So I do like you are doing, eat the ones that register

lower. It works for me.
