Guest guest
Jack I think its exactly as you read it. You're doing quite well with no other complicating matters such as PH or Connective Tissue Disease indicated. I don't know the speed at which you did your six minute walk (can't convert feet covered in my mind) but would seem you're on borderline of needing oxygen so good to continue to monitor and see what real life activities do. Have you had an overnight oximeter? DLCO tends to jump around at bit so without knowing what it was other times hard to say. Still 46% isn't good but its not horrible either. The fact your spirometry is good indicates you're breathing pretty well. Stable is our favorite word. What is the future of your PF? No one knows. But I guess when we're 80, one doesn't know a lot anyway. The fact that you're still active and able to lead a full life is all that really matters today and I'm sure you will as long as you can. The fact you're knowledgeable and changes will be detected when they occur also is greatly to your benefit. > > I saw Dr. on of Duke University Medical Center about ten days ago. Guest guest
Jack, There's nothing really to sort out in his note. It's all good. You are stable and doing well! No signs of pulmonary hypertension which of course is on of the big worries so you can relax. The only thing I'd say is what someone already did...just keep an eye on your sats to make sure you're not ever consistently under 90 when exerting yourself. Other than that....enjoy your life!! Guest guest
Thank you Beth. I just bought a beautiful brick ranch house in Siler City for half what it would cost in Maine. As soon as sales on my housing projects are completed I will be heading south. The sales will take some time because the Federal government is involved, and it moves like a glacier. I just hope it is before hard winter sets in. Guest guest
Gio, I blushed reading your compliment. Thank you. Yes, I hope to live a long time, but I'm going to live it to the fullest so that if turns out to be short, it will have seemed a long time.
