Guest guest
, We have all been there trust me!!!! Madison is to the point where she gets 15cc an hour for 13 hours any more than that and not only will she vomit but you can forget getting her to eat for the rest of the day!! My husband and I were at a wedding about 2 years ago ( maddy was one) And we left her with my entire family everyone was at my mom's, well 6 hours into the wedding we get a call from my aunt that maddy is turning blue and there are bubbles comming from her mouth! So we leave the Hall and head to my mom's ( which was only a few blocks away). Here when we get there we find out someone miss understood the rate she was supposed to be getting and instead if 15cc it was set at 350cc's. We hooked her up to the vent and crap just started shooting out then she vomited for like an hour non stop till her belly was empty! So in conclusion we all have our moments where we wanna say what the hell was I thinking. Guest guest
Hi - I just had to laugh! Wait until Conner gets the medicine port open (or you leave it open after giving meds) and you think he's getting a full feed, but instead it's just soaking him & his bedding! I am embarrassed to say how many times that has happened to us Just remember to make his bed 2x that way if you have any problems at 3am you can just take off the wet bedding and there is dry underneath. We did invest in 2 very good waterproof mattress pads expensive but WORTH every penny! Thanks for sharing, and trust me...I've been there more than I'd like to have been. I'm so glad to hear that Conner and the rest of your Kearns Clan has adjusted so well. You have an amazing family. Guest guest
Jenyfer (and everyone else), That is why for overnight we only use a connector with one port (the 24 inch mic-key connector with one port is code 0124-24). If we need to give him meds, either we pause the pump and switch connectors temporarily or when we vent and drain back we throw the medicine in there. , Thanks for the laugh!! These things do happen, you just have to learn to laugh. Judith, Steve, (RSS) and (non RSS) 5 year old twins
Guest guest
> Mom to Graham 8 ADD (who said, " Cool Connor do it again); That was my favorite part <G>. And y'know, when I replied to your private email where you chastised me for not saying anything yet, I was GONNA say something like, " this better be good...his tube better have spewed across the room or something, " But I figured it was in bad taste and I didn't know how well you could " handle " it yet. Silly me <wink>. -Sharon- Just an RSS kid who grew up Orlando FL
