I think you two are arguing apples and oranges. I think all Sue is saying is

that not everyone is able to get the DS and Nick is saying that it is the

best procedure for anyone who needs WLS. It would be nice if everyone could

get the DS who needed WLS.

Pam, thank you for being a voice of reason..

I was appalled at 's condescending tone to Sue over this

matter.. No, Sue is not a medical professional.. Out of the 1200+

members of this list, how many are? If we are *only* to take

information from medical professionals on this list, then it needs

redesigning.. It was not designed so that exclusively medical

professionals provide all info in the posts.. It was created for

EVERYONE interested in the surgery. So.. that being said.. ..

you owe Sue and all the rest of the nonmedical professionals on this

board an apology.

My .02,

Liane

Gee, Liane, you exactly missed my point. NO ONE NEEDS TO BE A

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL TO UNDERSTAND THIS PROCEDURE OR THE RESEARCH

BEHIND IT. FIND OUT AS MUCH AS YOU CAN ABOUT BOTH OF THESE THINGS

BEFORE MAKING BLANKET STATEMENTS, WELL-INTENTIONED OR NOT.

Now, I don't mean to insinuate that you're being hypocritical here

(read: sarcasm), but isn't it a little condescending to tell me to

whom I need to apologize, especially before you even understand what

I'm saying? Please don't patronize me again.
