Guest guest
: Not quite the same thing, but I lost my sense of smell to a sinus infection several years ago. It's never come back, but really is not an issue in my life. B Barbara McD PF--Sept 08; Sjogren's--Apr 09; Reynaud's--seems like forever Beautiful Western NC Attitude is everything. They stopped the infection and I got better. My question is:Should I still have barely any sense of taste or smell? 7 months later? My doctors don't seem alarmed...I' m very frustrated.. .I can discern salt, pepper, vinegar as far as tastes go.My sense of smell is really dulled to almost nothing!Any ideas ? Guest guest
Oh that's most distressing Sista..isn't it annoying when the Medicos don't pick up on how badly a patient is feeling about something..Ok it isn't going to kill you BUT it's a major part of one's enjoyment of life...ask you Nedico who you should go to next to get some help! That'll let 'em know you're not satisfied with being fobbed off on the matter. Taste n' Smell are so closely related that it's quite logical that they'd go our together but HEY you want them BACK! aybe also an ENT specialist (Ear/Nose Throat) ..Dunno ...but don't take ignorance for an answer! love, >> *Hello there*...Sara is on the mend..getting as active as ever!!!!> is not so freaked out and we're getting less stressed> > I have a( totally unrelated to Sara) question...> > Way back in March when I ended up in the hospital with the miserable > acute bronchitis> I was given mega doses of Antibiotics and Prednisone. Guest guest
, I agree with . The place I'd start is with an ears, nose and throat specialist. I'd pursue an answer....it would be a HUGE quality of life issue for me. Good luck!
