I have it also, but my naturopath wants me to find a colostrum. Any ideas where?

Severe candida case

Lauricidin is pelletized monolaurin derived from coconut. It is used as an anti-microbial, anti-viral and anti-fungal. See www.lauricidin.com

Enhansa & Lauricidin

Enhansa is curcumin supplement frequently talked about at Pecanbread. It is often recommended by the DAN doctors for the ASD kiddos. It is supposed to be anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-viral, and anti-inflammatory too! Some of the Pecanbread moms just rave about the stuff. I thought I'd give it a try so I ordered some, I was just wondering if anyone here had experience with it?

Just wanted to add that I recently started taking Lauricidin and WOWZA. I have taken a lot of supps but that stuff causes MAJOR die-off. Nausea, nightsweats, lethargy, mood swings. It must be doing something. If you try this, START SLOW. :)

Hi Dawn,

I started taking Enhansa about 6 weeks ago, and think it is doing

something. As it seems with most things I try, I'm better for awhile

and then not.

I do believe I'm having a lot of Herx-ing from it, mostly in the

form of joint and muscle pain. I don't have anywhere near as much

fatigue as I have had when Herx-ing from other fungal treatments.

It definitely gave me improved BM quality. It also seems to have

really slowed down my hair loss, since that's made a dramatic

improvement since I was on it for about 3-4 weeks.

I would start very slowly. You can get the powder, which has a

funky taste, but definitely not bad. The normal adult dosage given is

to work up from 150 mg to 600 mg. Given that I'm super sensitive, I

actually started with 1/2 " scoop " (it's really a very tiny spoon), 37.5

mg and worked my way up from there. The Herx-ing started in earnest

when I reached 450 mg.

The pills come in 150 and 300 mg dosages.

You can get them at www.ourasdkids.com or check out info at:

www.leesilsby.com

Enhansa, Lauricidin and LDN were on the list my IM doctor and I came up

with---I'm using the Enhansa and just started the LDN. No miracles here

yet.

That is very helpful, Thanks Sue! I am glad I ordered it and I will **try** to

take your advice. I don't seem to " get " that low and slow method of starting

supplements, I tend to dive in. :)

Hi

Lauricidin and colostrum are not at all the same thing. I do not know for

certain whether colostrum contains lauricidin, but I am inclined to think it

doesn't. Colostrum is the first milk a mammal produces for their young - in

humans, this lasts just a couple of days before the milk starts being produced.

Here are some links explaining a bit about colostrum:

http://www.llli.org/FAQ/colostrum.html

ellness-ingredient.aspx

http://www.helium.com/items/861638-the-benefits-of-colostrum

However, commercially available colostrum is NOT human colostrum. I believe it

is usually from bovine (cow) sources. There are no human milking factories! -

donated human milk and colostrum go to human babies, often premature, usually on

neonatal intensive care wards who are at serious risk without it.

I know there is Lauric acid (also in Lauricidin)in Mother's Milk. Perhaps that

is the confusion.
