Guest guest
Dear all, I was wondering if buying a peeled garlic at Costco or any store is Legal? I have been using it but kind of wondering if it is right thing to do? Thanks

Guest guest
Marilyn, Peeled garlic and a small packet of something that keeps it fresh. Are you looking for ingredients listed on the box? What should i look for when buying them? > >I was wondering if buying a peeled garlic at > >Costco or any store is Legal? Guest guest
I was wondering if buying a peeled garlic at Costco or any store is Legal? I have been using it but kind of wondering if it is right thing to do? Why bother? The easiest way to peel garlic is take the clove, put it on the cutting board, and hit it with something (that won't break). A couple of raps loosens the peel and it comes right off (needs a knife for the end which it grows from). I don't think I'd buy peeled garlic just because I would wonder about sanitation issues. I've read that they've found botulism in purchased jars of mashed garlic, too, not that just peeled should be that bad. But I think I'll just continue to peel my own. If you want to buy peeled you might try to find out HOW they peel it. I doubt it's someone peeling them all by hand.
