Guest guest
Here's the pumpkin pie recipe I've been using for years: 3 c pumpkin 1 c sugar 2 c brown sugar 1 tsp salt 1 tsp nutmeg 1 tsp cinnamon 1 tsp ginger 1/4 tsp cloves 1/4 tsp allspice 4 eggs 1 pie shell Mix pumpkin, sugar, and spices. Add eggs, mix well. Pour into pie shell. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 mins, then reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake 40-50 mins til pie is set. Cool. Enjoy! Guest guest
Thanks, Lolita, for the pie recipe. I think I will try it but....should I even attempt a gfcf pie crust? I could never make them pre gfcf and am looking at my Miss Roben's catalog with the pie crust mix. It looks tempting. Is pie crust difficult? I know where to find recipes, just wonder if it is worth the effort? BTW, I like sweet potato pie better than pumpkin. DOn't you think that would work as a sub in this recipe? I haven't pulled out my recipes for Thanksgiving yet...
