Guest guest
I have a great marinade for the turkey that ends up being a wonderful gravy after. If you would like it let me know. I posted a recipe for apple pie not too long ago as well. I don't know if anyone ended up trying it but my little one loved it.

Guest guest
* Hi , I like to mash my sweet potatoes with a little Dari-free and then mix in some crushed pineapple. I make my stuffing with Deland Bakery bread, toasted, dried out and then ripped to little pieces. I shred up the turkey liver into it, use the turkey broth, and add in some of my onion-garlic-pepper mush i make. Some Mc Cormicks poultry seasoning, sea salt and black pepper. I cook my stuffing seperate in the oven, not in the bird. My dad likes celery in it, but I HATE CELERY, so I shred and mince up some to give it a little flavor for him. Guest guest
Hi , I love this idea as I am hosting Thanksgiving as well and could use some ideas. My plans for potatoes are (1) double stuffed baked potatoes: bake potatoes as usual and then scrape out the insides and mix them in a mixer with a milk sub, butter sub, seasoning, etc and spoon the mixture back into the skins and cook a little longer. I make them up ahead of time and just heat up before serving. (2) sweet potatoes with marshmallows: cook potatoes until soft, remove skin and line in a baking dish top with butter sub, brown sugar and marshmallows. Heat until marshmallows melt. Can also be prepared ahead of time. Stuffing recipes anyone??? Happy cooking... > It is getting about that time-so could each of us post a fovorite dish for thanksgiving dinner? I have to do a BIG dinner this year-I volunteered to cook because I want it gfcf-but I dont want it to be obvious that the food is gfcf. So tell me your family favorites-I would be willing to help convert to gfcf if you all have not tried to yet.F > > >
Guest guest
For the past couple of years, we have had mostly the same menu for Thanksgiving and do most or all of the cooking. A turkey with a two-rice (reg.rice & wild) etc stuffing; mashed potatoes and gravy made gfcf with margarine or ghee and Darifree; sweet potato pudding (which is a lot like a crustless pumpkin pie, but made with grated sweet potatoes, Darifree or soy milk, eggs, etc), cranberry/pineapple/walnut gelatin mold, green vegetables and salad, sometimes popovers or other bread. For dessert, last year we had pie using the Gluten Free Pantry pastry mix, but I am not really crazy about pie and the sweet potato pudding (which I love) is quite pie-like, so I usually make a gfcf pumpkin cake roll with vanilla gfcf ice cream. > > It is getting about that time-so could each of us post a fovorite > dish for thanksgiving dinner?
