Guest guest
A million thanks for your research! I've been worried about all my son's bedding. Kathy
Guest guest
Okay, I did some homework/detective work to find my son (6/Aspergers) some decent bedding that is not chemically treated (i.e. flame resistant) or containing dyes. It wasn't easy, but recently received a flyer from the chain retailer Bed Bath & Beyond that was advertising (on sale) a new product called " All Natural " bedding. This bedding claimed to be all natural, 100% cotton, chemical, dye, irritant and allergy free. I couldn't believe it! Doubtful, I checked it out for myself and it's true. A quick call to the company who makes it (Louisville Bedding Co. in Kentucky) says the products are completely natural and the threads in the products are undyed and unbleached and the final product is NOT chemically treated in any way. So, I went out and bought two pillows, pillowcases, mattress pad, comforter and sheets for my son. They weren't cheap, but not outrageous either. The color is off-white and a bit uneven (hence the no-dye), but they are soft and well-made. I understand they can also be bought online if there is no store near you at: www.bedbathandbeyond.com. Wash them first in warm water without bleach, of course. Hope this helps anyone who was looking for such bedding! I'm also going to buy the Land's End cotton long johns to replace his regular pjs. They are 100% cotton, snug-fitting but NOT chemically treated. Keep in mind that the pj's that say " flame resistant " have been treated with chemicals. Cz. P.S. I'm going to cross-post this to some other boards I belong to, so sorry if you are reading this twice! _________________________________________________________
