Hi Jodie- I did find one pair that I bought from Old Navy (size twelve months).

They are the only khaki pair I could find and they fit her better than the

twelve months from Walmart although I can't complain-they were on clearance for

3.00. They are that basic editions brand and are cut really wide. I am going

to either have to learn to sew or find a really good cheap seamstress! As for

my energy level... I will say that I have no problem going to sleep at night!

: )

Hi ! I am glad to hear your take on the tubes thing. This is one road I

haven't been down before. They are doing tubes on Hannah because of the large

amount of chronic fluid. She has flunked every test that they have ever given

her for almost 4 years to test for this. I think the doctor doesn't like the

fact that sometimes she hears and sometimes she doesn't. Hopefully this will

improve her speech as well! As for the kids that is truly God's grace!

wrote: Hi,

As far as ear tubes go, Emerence has had 3 surgeries so far - at 9

mots, 17 mos and 27 mos and the operation itself is fairly quick -

about 10 minutes. Emerence typically ony spends 30 minutes in

recovery before we go home and then is usually fine, maybe a bit

tired.

As far as the rest, well God bless you for your energy and patience!

week by an opthalmologist that Hannah is going to need surgery on

both eyes. It was also determined by an ENT that we are going to

have surgery to put tubes in her ears. And in the middle of all that

her endocrinologist wants to run some tests in the hospital also.

What a wild week! On Friday we had six doctors appointments. We now

have six kids living at our house full time and when my stepson comes

over there is seven. All of them (except the one that doesn't live

with us) are special needs kids. Hannah is going to be 4 in two

months and is youngest and is just hilarious. (RSS/SGA, 26lbs and

now just barely under 3 ft, hypoglocemia, DD, Asthma, She keeps us

laughing all the time. We have decided to send her to a private

school 1/2 day for school for K4 and in the afternoon she will attend

a DD preschool for her OT, PT, and Speech. Last week I took her to

visit her new school. She of course was the

> smallest. I sat back and just observed her as she tried to do

what the rest of the kids did. She really did just great. The

smallest boy in the class (but still about 7 or 8 " bigger...these

kids were huge!) were making fun of her because " she looks like a

baby " . This particular little boy kept saying it and finally Hannah

put her hands on her hips and put her nose right in the little boys

face and said I'm not a baby! You'd better turn around and get back

in line before I tell Ms. Nash!!! He promptly did- I think it

shocked him-I know it did me! Needless to say I think she will be

just fine. The only problem was the little girls kept trying to pick

her up and tote her around and the teacher stopped that by telling

them she didn't need their help " she is older than she looks " . By

the way anyone know where to get 12 -18 months skorts in khaki or

navy Hannah has a very tiny waist (can still wear her 3-6 and 6-9

months jeans but now they're capri pants: )The uniform companies

I've noticed the same thing with Wal-Mart pants on Aubrey. They seem to be cut

just huge in the waist. And when I do find her a pair that fit her waist their

normally way too short. She can still wear 6/9 months in waist at Wal-Mart. We

generally have pretty good luck at Old Navy also and there's a store called The

Children's Place. They just seem to fit her way better.
