The ones I looked at said they brought all their own kitchen equipment with them. So you can get a chef, and not have to worry a lick about organizing your kitchen ;-). They bring their own equipment... but they have to be able to find the counters, the stove, and the oven! <grin> One counter is piled high with storage boxes. One counter is covered with appliances -- food processor, Vitamix, mini-processor, Oster, two yogurt makers. One counter has a toaster oven, a cutting board, and all the vitamins for the dogs on it. The stove regularly disappears under things that I've moved out of the way when I'm preparing, not cooking, and then I have to finish prep and move things off the stove so I can cook. The fourth counter has my Foreman type grill on it. Any self-respecting personal chef would take one look at my kitchen and have heart failure. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle

Not only did he require being able to find the appliances, he required that the counters be absolutely bare! I guess so he could spread out all over! And an empty dishwasher, etc, as well. Yes, well -- I don't have a working dishwasher. It's now roll-out storage for all my baking pans and trays! (And if I did get around to fixing the dishwasher, I'm scorched if I know where I'd store things like my 24 cup muffin pans and all the rest.) — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle

Especially for canning jars (in season). Whatever works! But maybe you won't be able to have that personal chef for awhile yet.
