Guest guest
Congratulations on Dalia's weight gain. Will Dalia walk holding your fingers over her heard? If so, try a trick that someone told me. The had their child hold onto clothes pins and the mom would be right behind and then try letting go and they think they are still holding on. Just a thought. I'm sure the PT knows what they are doing. Guest guest
Sheryl - congrats on the weight and height gain - how wonderful. In regards to the walking - it will come - but I know how impatient we become when things are delayed. For example, still has no teeth - What can I do - NOTHING - so I am trying to be patient. Congrats again on the wonderful news. Good Luck with delivery - I am so sorry I will miss you at the convention this year! Guest guest
Sheryl- That is awesome news!!! I too am hoping Isaac will be walking before the new baby comes but I don't think it is going to happen. I am having the same issues with his physical therapy since it is hard for me to get up and down off the floor Take care- Mimi (Isaac's mommy) > We went today for the 18 month well visit and Dalia gained 2 lbs and 2 > inches since her 15 month visit...this is with a stomach virus in > between as well!! Guest guest
Hi! Go Dalia! She is almost as tall as Emerence and gaining on her weight wise too! My son who is 5 didn't walk until 26 months but he couldn't even stand until about 22 months of age (really bad hypotonia). Emerence walked at 17 months. The good news is she is up and can stand. I'll bet she will just let go and take off one of these days. Since both of my kids have had PT, I have sometimes learned taht if I leave the room (and stand out of sight outside the door) my kids did better at PT. Sometimes it became a power struggle between us. With just the PT to listen to sometimes things went better. I am so so excited though on the weight gain and glad your pregancny is going well. Also, I see Jodie Cals posted her shake recipe for Jane to use for , we also have used it and Emerence gained weight on it. I modified her shake to be chocolate ice cream (melted), one package of chochocolate Carnation instant breakfast, whole milk and 1/2 and 1/2. , mom to , 5 and Emerence 2 RSS/ SGA 31 " 21 lb and 3rd set of tubes now in! > We went today for the 18 month well visit and Dalia gained 2 lbs and 2 > inches since her 15 month visit...this is with a stomach virus in > between as well!! As an aside, Dalia is still not walking unassisted...she has been " cruising " since around 11 months of age, but will not let go..she pushes furniture and runs with her toy walkers all around the house, but no sign of letting go..i was hoping she would walk by the time the new baby came, but I don't know if it will happen. Doing her PT has become extremely difficult because she won't cooperate and also me being pregnant doesn't help. Just a slight vent....but I'm very happy anyway!! Guest guest
Good Job on the weight gain. I'm gonna have to let Aubrey come over and eat whatever it is you're cooking at your house. Aubrey was late walker too. She didn't start walking by herself until 19-20 months. I've heard from other people that have used the clothes pins and they say it really works also. Good Luck.
