I am in the Chicago area and I went to see Dr. Buchwald in

Minnesota. He's about a 6 hour drive from you. I also found Dr.

Hares in Detroit. The other option is Dr. McGuire in Ohio. Check

out this site for others, duodenalswitch.com. There is a Dr.

Frantzides at Rush St. Luke in Chicago that has only done a few of

the DS surgeries; I chose not to go to him because of the

inexperience. I hope your friend decides to travel. It will be so

worth the few hours of discomfort to gain a lifetime more of

happiness and health.
