You are so right....losing weight is not the cureall. Whatever reason we ate

and got heavy has to be addressed and many of us are not ready when it

surfaces after we begin losing weight. Thank you for sharing. Its important

people keep this in mind. I am still in counseling and on my wellbutrin

because of things like this I read. I am hoping to have it sorta under

control!!

I also think you make a good point for one of the critical components

for post op support groups. Losing weight is part of a process and

the surgery is only the first step. Critical are taking your

supplements, get your labs done regularly, and then finally

participating in support groups. For those of you who had to travel

so far for your surgery, it would be great if you could network with

other WLS patients in your area.

We patients of Dr. Jossart are trying to set up our own support

group. Will keep you posted as to our progress!
