Another Yogurt Question -- How can you tell that your tolerating it?

I'm still experiencing symptoms while on the diet -- (still gassy, although it's

not the constant nightmare I experienced before the diet, but still somewhat of

a nightmare.)

I am eating more yogurt (last night I ate 3/4 - 1 cup of yogurt, along with

mango and honey for a nice mango lassi -- not sure that it's too early for that

yet.)

I'm still having the regular symptoms -- and the not-so-pleasant round robin

trips (though I'm down significantly from what I used to experience). I'm taking

the activated charcoal -- which only seems to be helping an itsy bit.

Um, how can I tell I have an intolerance to yogurt? My symptoms are the same,

they went down in the initial phase, but they're pretty much there...

Also, for like smoothies should I cook all fruit before introducing them into

the smoothie, instead of having it raw?

Thanx.

If things are getting better and not worse then it seems as if you are tolerating it.  You still want to take things slow.  Don't overdo in any area.  It could cause you trouble later even if it doesn't atm.

Milkshakes are great--have you tried strawberries with half n half dripped yogurt?  Soo good.  I gained my weight back up to normal weight plus ten eating DCCC and half n half yogurt with lots of honey and cinnamon.  It's taken awhile to be able to eat fruit so I watch that.  I've had a bag of frozen mango in the freezer for awhile now, just afraid to try it.

Basically, I'm saying go easy on the fruits and limit the yogurt to 3c. per day according to BTVC.  Fitday.com has an on-line program to put in what you eat daily to see what you need to tweak.

As for gas, Kim or Marilyn can help you with that.  I don't want to suggest something to make you worse.  It's very specific on what works for who.  I'd probably up the water intake before adding  supplements or something but that's just me.  I hate the bloat!
