Guest guest
I agree, I shouldn't have had to. I thought it was completely unfair of them. > > It really does take time because your taste buds and brain and > everything else are still geared to the " old " tastes you used to > love. Guest guest
I've eaten the butternut fries -- (they taste like sweet potato fries to me)... have not tried lemon curd yet. Cocoa butter -- haven't tasted it? What does it taste like? Have you made any desserts or foods from this? I made some almond and pistachio nut honey candy this past weekend -- it's a little early for nuts, I know..but I wanted a taste of something sweet. Tonight I made a mango lassi with yogurt (made from half n half), mango, ginger and honey (it tasted a lemony to me...) is crossing my fingers, and kind of scared I'll get sick tomorrow morning from the yogurt, but here's to trying. Guest guest
How do you make butternut fries without browning (burning is more like it) the edges? I currently make them by sticking thin slices sprayed with olive oil in the oven. Burn the edges every time. For social situations at work, I generally stay at the party because I think its a good time to bond with co-workers. One trick I use is to eat plenty before the party so that I'm completely full and also to walk around with a drink (even if its just water) so that I have something to keep my hands and mouth occupied. Social situations with family or friends are a little easier.. I'm pretty demanding (nicely) that there has to be something I can eat - even if that means that I cook food and bring it along. Most of my friends are more than happy to gobble up my SCD legal food while patting themselves on the back for being healthy. (Yes - my friends and family are pretty wonderful and supportive.) Thanks, Raj SCD since 1/2010 UC 3+ years www.flipcookbook.com > > I've eaten the butternut fries -- (they taste like sweet potato fries to me)... have not tried lemon curd yet. > > Cocoa butter -- haven't tasted it? Burn the edges every time Raj, I haven't made these fries but if this was my problem I think I'd try a lower temperature the next time and see if that takes care of it.
