Guest guest
Ditto! It sounds amazing. I am going to try it for our family's Memorial Day picnic -Joanna > > Thank you for posting this flourless Honey almond cake--it's so nice to have an SCD recipe with nutrition stats! > > Terry >
Guest guest
I uh...almost agree. It gives nutrition stats " per serving " but doesn't actually say how much a serving is. Anyone know what the serving size is? Guest guest
I was curious, so investigated the eatingwell.com site, the source of the recipe. Here's what they have to say in regards to serving size: ************************* (direct quote) Serving Sizes To help people eat in accordance with the USDA's Dietary Guidelines and Food Guide Pyramid, EatingWell's suggested portions generally are based upon standard serving sizes. For example, suggested servings for meat, poultry and fish are generally 3 to 4 ounces, cooked. A recommended portion of a starch-based side dish, such as rice or potatoes, is generally ½ cup. Vegetable side dishes are a minimum of ½ cup. ********************** Standard, or normal, can cover a lot of ground [grin]. They don't mention cakes specifically, but I would guess that the calorie level of this recipe serving indicates that it is a smallish sized piece. Kim M. Guest guest
The recipe says 10 servings and it's in a 9 inch cake pan. I'm too tired to do the math..........I'll just cut it into 10 slices! Terry
