Guest guest
Hi, When I was a kid, my godfather would make his own charcoal as needed. He would spear a piece of br--d on a fork, hold it over the stove flame until it was all black. There must be something SCD --maybe any food would do-- that could be carbonized. Marilyn? Other folks? Is this a workable possibility. Sure fits the 'Make your own! Make your own! Make your own!' mantra. Ruth 5a.Messed up! Ate breaded chickenPosted by: " sullygwen " sullygwen@... sullygwenWed May 26, 2010 7:38 am (PDT) Hi Mara. I haven't tried activated charcoal because I was on the road to feeling pretty darn good before I ate the chicken and didn't feel like I needed it. I don't have access to a tub (we are full time RVers) so I did the epsom salt / lotion mixture, which was super helpful with alleviating my die-off symptoms. I live in a very very remote area, so walking into a store and buying activated charcoal or any other semi-unusual item isn't a possibility. I get many things shipped to me, but for now, I'm not ordering it unless this continues... Right now, my head is clear and other than some come-and-go stomach pain and D, I feel good. Hope abounds. Last night, no stomach pain at all, but still lingering D. This morning, I have stomach pain and I was once again late for work because I was stuck in the loo, but I was also stressed out over something, so I'm sure it was partially because of that. I feel like I'm on the mend and I will take this as a valuable lesson learned: I now have no temptation to fudge on SCD. Illegal foods are my enemy! Thanks so much for the help and feedback. High fat seems to work well for me. The D had slowed down a little and the burning in my stomach is subsiding. I usually > > feel better in the evenings.
