Guest guest
I am trying to get a handle on all of this. I have been using tupperware/rubbermaid containers for my daughters ice cream and other items such as muffins, pizza crusts, bread that I make up ahead of time and then freeze. I was aware that you should not put these items in the microwave but had not realized that using them for any food storage was unsafe. Also what do you put raw meat/ chicken in to freeze and finally (for now) if you cook meals in advance what do you freeze them in. I am afraid I may be doing more harm than good. Thanks Liz

It reaches a point where we can get so finicky over every little detail that we might as well give up eating. Plenty of people have gotten well storing their food in plastic containers. Just look for the better kinds if you need to use them. I use some because I don't have ROOM in either fridge or freezer for all the food I prepare if I put it in glass. Plus, there's my talent for dropping things on the floor. At least with plastic, I can salvage the food. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle
