Guest guest
Hi, ... Yep, 70 is the new 65 at the U of PA lung center, fortunately for me, since I'm 67. All the tests have been passed and approved and the minute the scores start to drop I'll go onto the list and the average wait there now once listed is 40 days, so I was happy to know it at least won't be until after the holidays. And if it's February, who cares! February has no redeeming social value, and I'd be back and ready to go by spring. A woman was in who had a double done two weeks ago, and you'd never know it by looking at her. I have MUCH to be thankful for this week!! Bill C. IPF 10/08 And grandfather of 11! I just got four new ones.
Guest guest
bill congrats on the new grandchildren 4 at one time! i have been on the "list to be listed" for over 3 years last winter i was on the list, but my condition improved, so i went inactive it all depends on your LAS -- lung allocation score the first "light at the end of the tunnel" for me was when i went for the eval and met people who had recently received new lungs and saw how excited and happy they were then when i go to the holiday party on the second monday in december and meet people who have had lung transplants 5, 10, 15 years ago -- it's great knowing that we have that option last year i went to the lung transplant support group a few times -- really neat to meet people who have had transplants when Dr Ahya was in the old building, i usually would talk to people in the waiting room they all said that if they had to do it over again, they would go for the transplant it really gives you a boost Pink Joyce R (IPF 3/06) IFA 5/09 Pennsylvania Donate Life Listed 1/09 Inactive 4/09 www.transplantfund.org--- Subject: Re: Good news...and good news from me, tooTo: Breathe-Support Date: Tuesday, November 24, 2009, 8:50 AM Hi, ...
