Guest guest
BJ... I'm sleeping more too. I used to be an early riser and now stay in bed until nearly 9! Even if I'm awake I just don't want to get up. I go into our bedroom early in the evening and watch TV and I'm usually asleep about 10:30. For me, this is a lot of sleep. I have to say though I think I'm feeling better with more sleep... MamaSher; 71, IPF 3-2006, OR.Don't fret about tomorrow, God is already there! Guest guest
I guess I'm not the only one who sleeps so much. and now you. I am always tired too. Do you think it could be the fibromyalgia. I was dx with chronic fatigue but the doctors I have had since then seem to ignore it or don't know I have it. They don't give me a painkiller that works either. If it's not snowing Monday I will see if I can get an appointment to see my doctor about all of this pain. I want to get it done before I go to the coast. Maybe Dr. Raghu will have something to say about it but since I don't think it has anything to do with PF he probably won't.Beverley Joy,71, UIP,NSIP 1-09,Diabetes,Sjogren's,Fibromyalgia Idaho From: ceesnews <ceesnews (AT) yahoo (DOT) com>Subject: Re: CPAP, etc.To: Breathe-Support@ yahoogroups. comDate: Thursday, November 26, 2009, 12:01 AM Dyane, I was really surprised when you said earlier that you had several nights of testing the CPAP equipment, but I'm starting to understand that a little. I will look it up online though because I'm still not getting a lot of it. Like if the nose & mouth are covered, where does the CO2 go that we exhale? And is this thing connected to an oxygen tank? I've never heard anything about that, so where does the air come from that it forces in? I'm guessing the blue gel is used to seal the mask from leaking?I have a small face too, which is one reason why my first sleep test wasn't any good. Their nose/mouth air measuring thingy was too big & kept sliding too far off my face. So I'll pay close attention to see if I have the same eye pressure problem that you had. Thanks for the info.As for the days of B & W TV, I've been horse crazy all my life, so my favorite shows were My Friend Flicka & Fury (I couldn't decide whether I wanted Graves as a dad or an older boyfriend. So good looking!)My dad flew planes in his spare time, so I also wanted to be niece Penny from Sky King. But what I've really always wondered is what happened to Tommy Rettig from Lassie? (Had a crush on him too... oh, & ny Crawford from... name of show??? What happened to him?) I've always thought the guy who plays Spiderman now looks a lot like Tommy Rettig. Can't remember his name either but it isn't Rettig. Cpap masks come in two versions..Nasel or Full Face. Nasel masks or prongs fit over or in your nose and seal it comepletely as the whole idea is the force of the air keeps your throat open., Full Face do the same thing only going over the nose and mouth. You can wear a nasel and if your mouth drops open you can put this giant elastic band over your head and under your chin to hold it closed or you can go full face. I have a round but small(chin to forehead) face and even small masks are just a bit too big for me and so the nose piece that should fit on the bridge of my nose is just up high enough to press on the inner eye area. The mask also has to be tight enough to seal and not leak when you turn your head so you tend to wake up with red lines on your face that go away in an hour or so.> Do I like it no Is it worth it You bet, I also don't worry about losing my oxygen in my sleep as it bleeds into the cpap. The fact that Lou lost her mask in her sleep scares the **** out of me. Fisher Paykel is just a brand name. Google cpap mask and you will be able to look at many masks and types of masks. Have fun. Guest guest
Beverley...did you say SNOW? F.Y.I.......... Extreme fatigue is a symptom of lung-scarring as it progressively damages the lungs and starves the body of oxygen. Energy levels sink as the lungs deteriorate and breathing becomes difficult. Tiredness or a general feeling of being unwell is a common symptom of PF. Guest guest
Yes. I said SNOW. I've had an inch or 2 covering my yard already but it melted off pretty quickly but now with temperatures in the 20's at night it probably won't melt off the next time. I want to go home to the coast. Thanks for the information. I guess I will be tired for the rest of my life.
