Guest guest
Hey guys, Now that I got my official DX from Biopsy of UIP/IPF a couple of weeks ago I guess that puts me in a new ballpark. For the past year it was a maybe as my Pulmo. doctor always thought it was caused by some other disease, ie. auto-immune disease, sensitivity disease, ect.. Question, got a bad called over the weekend. Usual stuff - sore throat, runny nose, cough, low grade fever, ect. As this is the first time I have been sick sick in the past year I need a little advise. I am treating this as I always have when I had a cold. Is there anything I should do different now that I have PF? Is there anything I should watch out for now that I have PF? I made an appointment with my primary Dr. for tomorrow to get checked out and to also fill him in on my DX and to update him on what has been going on. I assume that when I get sick I will see my Primary as my Pulmo. only sees patients once a week, as she is doing trials, teaching, ect. My primary and my pulmo. have not really talked about my condition, ect. I assume they should call each other and talk about how I will be cared for. Any thoughts..... Thanks, Dave, Miami, 43, UIP/IPF
