My O2 company is great! When we decided to take the trip We told them and they furnished the Sequal and I told them I needed 4 extra battery's and they supplied them also. Then when we went to pick the up equipment we noted that they didn't include the desktop charger so, they called other offices to find out who had one, had it overnight ed to them, and had it delivered to our house the day we were leaving.

We weren't with a group but of course, we were in a group when we booked the excursions in each port. We went to Venice, Dubrovnik Croatia, Athens Greece,Ephesus turkey, Naples, Rome, and Florence Italy, Nice France, and Barcelona Spain.

I don't need any O2 at rest, 4 liters on the treadmill @ 2.4 mph. On the Plane @ 37000 feet I needed 2 Liters at rest. I'd be glad to answer any other questions you have. I figure I gotta do what I can now cause I know my time to do these kinda things is limited.

I applaud you for making this trip. Your advance planning was great. I am not yet on O2 but use my oximeter when I fly and intermittantly have to do deep breathing to elevate sats. I know that I should not make an overnighter with out O2 I really think that I am going to have to change pulmodoc because he takes O2 when I walk in but never under activity except for 6 minute walk six months ago. I am very active physically and I am getting concerned. I have appt tomorrow and he and I are going to have a serious talk. I just don't think he gets it.

Keep on going.

Bettye,

When I was on the plane I continued to check and adjust my O2 as my sat decreased with altitude. I noticed that on the shorter flight where we were not nearly as high I used less O2. but, when we were on the long flight at 37000 feet I needed it all the time. Actually, I didn't feel diffrent but the oximeter told the tale.

Keep on going and do what ever you can while you can. You know, sometimes I feel that I have been given a gift. I could died of a heart attack or any other reason and never got to do some of the things I wanted to do. But now, I that I know my time is limited, I won't be putting things off for later because I din't want to spend the money right now or other excuises. I'm livin the life! (while I can) and I have this opportunity to enjoy each day knowing they won't last forever. I am living like I only have 2 to 5 years...... and hoping I have many more. But, at least I'm not putting things off.
