Guest guest
, good to hear from you BUT not about your BIG HOUSE visit.. OUCHHHH.. on the chest tube and all that.I am headed to bed. Welcome back and you GO girl and do everything your big enough... Love & Prayers, Peggy Florida, IPF/UIP 2004"I believe that friends are quiet angels who lift us to our feet, when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly." I've been away with busy stuff again. This is me checking back in with yet another one of those stories. So I've been in the big house again. I blew out a lung like an old tire. Pneumothorax and all that, chest tube for which I was actually grateful, you get the picture. So anyway, who knew fibrotic spots could do that? I didn't get that memo. It was not in the instruction manual for "How to have lung disease". So the other good news is that now that it has happened, it could easily happen again. BUT the good news is my better lung has already compensated for its evil twin not working so well. My sats never even dropped. Had it not been for the chest pain and the darn thing flopping around in my chest I might not have noticed anything wrong. How weird is that? But we know for sure I have the heart of a lion. I actually saw it beating in the echo. Looked like a lion actually. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Jerry I'm glad your eye is better. So we are Skyping now? Very interesting... I did not read very far back in the postings so what's new peeps? I have been thinking about you guys even though I have not been physically around. I hope everybody is having a really pleasant day. It has been a cool gray fall day here. I had an adventure and went out for a haircut today. I get to go to work again on Monday, for which I am also grateful. So this is me going on with life again. Guest guest
Thanks Peggy! Up until this point my mission in life was never to have another chest tube. Now my mission is to remember to be grateful for them. S > > I've been away with busy stuff again. Guest guest
Glad you're out even though never knew you were in. Guess I'm going to have to tell Lizabeth she's in my doghouse for that....lol As to the collapsed lung I did have a friend years ago with that problem. He'd had it for decades and while the bad part was it periodically happening, the good news was that he could feel it coming and would get it repaired and back going with relative ease each time. Hopefully in your case it will not recur. > > I've been away with busy stuff again. This is me checking back in with yet another one of those stories. > > So I've been in the big house again. I'm so sorry that you went through this and good Lord I hope it never happens again. Chest tubes are horrible, painful and just plain evil and thanks be to God they work when we need them to right? Guest guest
Hi group, Well I am posting from the home page.. LOL I think I told you changed our server-SMACK-WELL now I have my beautiful new puter and NONE of my passwords.. NO I didn't write them down.. GGGGGGRRRRRRRR SOOOOOOO I will start tomorrow going through ALL my programs that require a password and get them straight. We have had company since last Wed and I am totally pooped. I have only had one shot (morphine is served in a shot glass mixed with tea) today. I am still doing well but am tired. I so relate with Joyce R and the others that are tired 24/7.. By bedtime I feel like I have been digging ditches. I must say it is hard to keep everyone under control from " control central " (my recliner) but they are all doing so well, my life sure would have been easier 20 years ago had they listened to me like now.. LOL I wouldn't change a thing. Have a good week. I am going to get my mail fixed this week. Love & Prayers to ALL. Guest guest
Peggy/Pink I'm sorry to hear about her too but I'm hoping they will get things under control and treat appropriately and then she'll be able to return to a full life. When I read Joyce's statement re: people living full lives with one kidney, it reminded me of my mother. She had a quadruple heart bypass in 1969 and later some complications and time in Intensive Care and heavy cortisone and hallucinations. But somewhere along the way they said something to her about having only one kidney and she accused them of leaving it out on the table during surgery. She had only one and had apparently always had just one but never knew it until then. So not only did she do fine with one, she never even was aware. Sure had fewer problems than the woman who lived behind us who had four. > > > > Well I know things have been so heart breaking for me lately, my spirit has > > been hazy.. Guest guest
Peggy, Sorry to hear about your grand daughter . I can understand how it must be hurting you and your family. When you are sick or in pain being brave comes easily, but just not possible when loved ones are suffering, it can hurt horribly, we just want them to be well again. I will pray for her and for all of you. Geeta > > > > > > Well I know things have been so heart breaking for me lately, my spirit has > > > been hazy..
