Guest guest
Mercury hides in the organs including the brain so blood tests are useless unless there has been recent exposure. We did a urine test using DMSA and mercury and other heavy metals poured out. We go to a DAN dr since I have not found a reg. dr who will do this. Unless studies have been done most drs dont beleive in it and we dont have time to wait for the studies!!! karen
Guest guest
My autistic son is 2 1/2. He has only had one ear infection in his life and is rarely sick. He has been GFCF for over 2 months. Within about a week of the diet, he went from no eye contact to practically normal eye contact. His therapist said he seems to have come out of the fog. This was before we had started any supplementation. I did not think at first that he would have a yeast problem since he did not have the ear infections and before going GFCF, he loved to eat yogurt (live active cultures). I am again thinking that it still may be a problem because he has a pot-belly, gets diaper rash easily and has no solid stool. I have an appointment with his pediatrician next month so I hope to have him tested. > My 2 year old has been on Nystatin since September. Guest guest
Thanks . What kind of testing did you do for mercury? Did you initiate it or your Dr? This may be a possibility with my son, but his Dr. balked at the suggestion. Also, blood testing is a major ordeal (for us both). He wanted me to first determine if mercury was in any of his vaccinations, by calling his old Dr. in Michigan where we lived the first 6 months of my sons' life. I wonder if they will even give me an honest answer or just think " lawsuit " and say they didn't use vaccines with mercury. Fortunately, Our current pediatrician does not use vaccines with mercury. Re: Yeast with no history of antibiotics? My son has a very bad yeast problem and did not take antibiotics. My son does have mercury poisoning (from vaccinations), which causes yeast problems. We are in the process of chelating. karen
Guest guest
I had my son's hair tested for toxic elements without my doctor's knowledge then shared the results after the fact. Mercury is not the only item that can be a problem though. My son had so much antimony poisoning that it was off the charts (poisoned by his playpen mattress). Of course, my pediatrician still wasn't concerned because she has been trained only to look for lead poisoning but at least I know. As for mercury, usually the tests don't show it unless the exposure was recent. Our kids tend to be metal magnets. When these tests are done, they usually show a number of toxic metals that has poisoned our kids. > Thanks . > What kind of testing did you do for mercury? Did you initiate it or your > Dr? Guest guest
, My dd has not been on antibiotics more than 2 or 3 times and she is almost 7yr but her yeast is out of control. Sometimes I think its just our kiddos systems. Hope this helps. Valarie in Ca
